bonjour! welcome to my little corner of the internet. if this was my house, I'd invite you in for a cup of tea or make a french press of stellar coffee and we'd be able to sit and chat by the fire, on the back porch, or go for a walk by the water. So, let's just pretend we're doing that. okay? okay, great.
me? well. I'm a writer because I need words and stories to fuel me and a photographer because the world comes alive in new ways behind the lens.
I believe that life is a really really beautiful adventure - full of wonder and pain and whimsy and struggle - and yet always worth embracing fully.
I’m a northern west coast girl to my core (the mountain peaks and ocean breeze are forever in my veins), but I currently live in the prairies of Alberta - making a life here with my husband as he finishes up his dental schooling in Edmonton. I currently make my living in the world of labour relations and conflict resolution, studied international affairs, global development and political studies, and am passionate about refugees, human rights, holistic international and community development, restorative justice, post-war reconstruction, worship, and prayer.
The outdoors are my favourite - no matter the season or the weather, I would always rather be outside: running, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, at the beach, on a lake, camping, around a campfire: all of it. There are few things I enjoy as much as good coffee, good wine, good conversation, and good music, acknowledging that "good" in all those descriptors is a highly subjective term. I'm an avid sports fan and, for better or worse, will be forever loyal to the Whitecaps, Canucks, Blue Jays, Raptors, and Team Canada.
And, more than anything else: I'm a follower of Jesus. All that I am and have and hope to be is credit to His wild and deep and gracious love.
